With an online shop ?

Looking to buy a Canon 450d (first dSLR ), Jessops want £480, Amazon £444.50 (inc free delivery), warehouse express £443 + delivery.

Will they match in store, was going to order online, but realised I could get it tomorrow if they match in store... anyone ever done it ?

They seem a bit vague. Last time I asked a couple of weeks ago, they'd price match on UK based non-internet-only retailers who actually had stock available. Even then they would have to call head office to confirm.

It depends on what mark up they have. But hey its worth asking in these tough trading times. IMO ask away they can only say no

I just tried Jessops at Bolton to price match a Nikon D90 body but they only had the kit and told me they could only match local stores that had stock and not online prices but i suppose they vary what they will and wont do between stores id thought

If you know anyone going abraod any time soon, it's £408 in Dixons Tax Free stores in the airport. That's where I got mine. Still eligible for the £50 back too.

Generally Jessop’s price match to anything you can find in a photographic magazine, just take the magazine with you to show them.
I have bought my 40D and 580 EX 11 Speedlite that way!
But it’s up to the managers discretion.

Try the one at the Trafford Centre, Bolton won't they will.

I was thinking if should go the trafford centre to try them out but thought id go back to looking online as they'd no doubt tell me the same thing ...maybe not then lol

I found while i've been looking online tradecamerasonline.com who had a good price including a extra nikon battery and a Sandisk card but i've never heard of them myself and they seem new which im always abit wary about new companies with good prices along with not much info on them there manchester based too so might be worth a attempt at price match even if get jessops drop there price.

When I was in their about a month ago they said they don't price match but me and my brother went in the next day and he done a bit of haggeling and we got a decent deal which came to £660

2 x Nikon D40 SLR
2 x 18-55mm Nikon lens
2 x Sigma 55-200mm lens
1 x cleaning kit
2 x cleaning brush
1 x Lowerpro slingshot 100 bag
1 x Lowerpro Flipside 200 bag

We also got the Domestic and General 2 year insurance which was £36 but only covers the camera plus the 18-55 lens as they wanted extra for each lens
