Have always had an interest in macro photography and there are some specialists on here with some stunning shots.

This is one of my rare attempts where given the equipment used I was more than happy with the result.

Equipment used was my Sony Alpha 100 with the standard 18-70 kit lens and a 2x converter, added onto the front was a macro filter (one of them cheapo filter things)

On board flash was used and no tripod, just manual focus and the trusty Sony super steady shot, took ages to get a semi decent shot, but, considering the equipment (read as lack of) then I'm happy.

Got me a proper macro lens on the way..can't wait!!
