Carl Zeiss Lens

Looks like Carl Zeiss is planning to release some Canon fit primes towards the end of the year.

Re: Carl Zeiss Lens

Hello there

The bit I don't understand is this.

The camera’s automatic focus confirmation also remains available to an unlimited extent with these manual focus lenses.

Are these manual focus lens?

I'm pretty sure they are manual focus lenses, but will give 'focus confirmation' when in focus.

Re: Carl Zeiss Lens

Is it the same lens you showed me on the Bristol meet, the Planar T* 1.4/85.

The one I have is the Sony version and branded, and has autofocus.
(Sony SAL-85F14Z - 85mm F1.4 ZA Carl Zeiss Planar T* lens)

In fact, looking at the specs:
http://www.sony.co.uk/product/ddl-ca...TechnicalSpecs

http://www.dpreview.com/news/0809/08...ssforcanon.asp

They are very similar (in name), but also very different! (seem to have different number of elements and groups)
