Binocular Advice (cheap & compact)

My dad is taking my little brother to see a WWE wrestling event soon and is looking for some cheap compact binoculars to take, and asked me to find some around £20-30.

As we know absolutely nothing about them, I thought I'd try asking here.

What sort of things should we be looking for? Which brands are good? A quick browse on eBay brings up a few Viper/Visonary/Kepler 8x40 ones, any comments?

I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask for advice on binoculars, so if somebody knows anywhere better, please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Binocular Advice (cheap & compact)

If you want cheap Aldi do an acceptable pair for about £7 ( 10 x 25 ) thats the magnification and lens size.
Bought 2 pairs one for the garden ( spotting birds ) gave the other pair to my bro as they are small enough to keep in jacket pocket when he is out with dog.
Dont know how these would fair in indoor conditions tho.

Re: Binocular Advice (cheap & compact)

Thanks, I'll take a look at those from Aldi.

Any more suggestions on what would be good for arena/concert conditions?

There are some Bresser ones and Bushnell ones on amazon for your budget. I think they're both decent brands.

Re: Binocular Advice (cheap & compact)

If you have an ALDI they always seem to stock them
May be a bit more than £9.99 but youll usually find that they are worth the little extra

Re: Binocular Advice (cheap & compact)

With small binoculars you're better not going for a high magnification like 10 or 12, 8x will give a good view but with more light gathering ability and less shake.
