Another new website

Having had a .Mac (or MobileMe now) membership for the last couple of years, and having never really used any of the space you get with that properly, I decided it was about time to dabble in the unknown (to me) and figure out how to set up a website .

I'd be interested to hear what people think about it, both from a navigation and aesthetic point of view. Check it out: http://www.kmudgephotography.com

I'm happy enough with the way it's turning out even though it's nothing really special, and there are still some areas to finesse, and I'm not sure about the menu system as I think it might confuse some people (or they just may not realise it's even there to be used).

As a couple of other people on here have done, I've used a Lightroom Gallery template, with some minor tweaks. Unfortunately, the gallery I liked is relatively basic and doesn't come with the normal intro, about me, etc pages that you'd usually get, so it goes straight into the images, but I figure that's ok as I'm not really interested in having it to try and sell images; it's more of a way to let people access my images easily (and I thought it would be more fun to try this than simply putting them on flickr!). I might dabble in an alternative version that allows people to leave comments on individual images in the near future.

Any thoughts welcome

Re: Another new website

1. The menus.. You are correct.. too small to notice. When you click on the menu you cant really go back without selecting any of the menus.
2. the Font for the word "Contact" seems different?

Otherwise the site looks cool.

Yes, I think you're right there. I can easily sort the font, but not too sure about the menu bit. That might need a complete rethink on the template front (i.e. use a different one!). Cheers
