London Motorcycle Museum

The museum was founded by Bill Crosby in the 1970s after an option to display his collection of bikes with some vintage cars in the grounds of Syon Park, a stately home in Isleworth, Middlesex. The collection has had a number of homes and grown considerably since its birth, the current site is in a collection of old farm buildings in Greenford (also in Middlesex).
Bill has great plans for what he hopes will be the permanent home of this fine collection of vintage bikes, all subject to funding (of course) but work is underway and I am confident that the plans for three main display halls; Triumph, The Rest of British and The Services (army, police etc) plus a 50/60s style diner will come to fruition. Bill is also hoping to expand the collection of machines from other countries in a Rest of The World display. Not all the exhibits are owned by the museum, some items are on loan from members of the public and private collectors.

1) Bill Crosby

2) A vintage Harley Davidson

3) The main hall

4) A BSA Bantam

5) A Vincent - note that large speedo which goes up to 150mph!

Re: London Motorcycle Museum

Nice to see the Bantam again, note the lack of rear suspension.
Had one myself for a little while, it was an ex GPO (post office) one, there were thousands about as they were all painted red and used to deliver telegrams.
We all aspired to be telegram boys in them days just to get to ride the bikes
Thanks for the memory

The saddle has springs - what more do you want?
