Question Panasonic FZ28 - should I buy?

I am the very happy owner of an Panasonic FX50, but, thanks to Coral and Manchester United's result against Newcastle I have some spare gadget cash!!

I'm interested in creating better photographs, but with numerous other hobbies can't really devote much time to this (just yet!)

I've been looking at the FZ18 and have been waiting for the latest update which now appears to be the FZ28. With the addition of the telephoto lens and "macro" lens accesories I was hoping that one of the forum members can convince me that this is where my £250 odd should be spent...I 'think' it offers me a reasonable update whilst not over complicating my set-up with a DSLR (of which the 400d is around the same price, if not cheaper, on the internet)....or maybe you disagree and can send me in a better direction as football betting doesn't often come up trumps!!

many thanks...all suggestions welcome!
