But I cannot contain myself, as some of you know I have been taking shots down at a place called Rooksbury Mill, after a great deal of work the local council have finally got nature reserve status. About 4 years ago I submitted a few pics that ended up on the info boards at this reserve but contrary to our agreement I did not get credited fro them.

After long talks with a guy called Jim Atkinson ( countryside officer) they asked my to several things.
1. Take pics of the river regeneration program.
2. Use my pics for the Andover vision document.
3. Do a years worth of fixed point photography, one pic every month from the same position.

All the above at an agreed a a price and I get free Fishing for life

While know I am not in anyway a professional and no where near as good as some photographers here, I feel very honored to be asked.

Like the idea of the 12 month fixed point part. That's the kind of thing that would be cool to do but so easy to not finish without the motivation of necessity.

Well that is a real complement, I really do not see my pics as anymore but average compared to some on here, although I am from the old school and try and capture the moment as best as I can.

My biggest frustration is my bin verses keepers which as far as percentages is not very good. However I am becoming very critical regarding focus, if it is not close or spot on, out it goes no matter how good the pic is.

Funny you should say the bin thing, if there is one thing this board does for you is to make you allot more critical. I look at my photos now and think is it worthy of avforums.. NO often = bin

How true and the funny thing is, I belong to loads of photography sites and yet it is an AV site I look for, for advice and critique, how bizarre
