USA with Canon G9

Hi guys,

Its been a while since I have posted here but I thought I would come back with a few snaps taken in and around the states. This was in a restaurant in Texas. Nothing was done to the photo it is as it came. Camera balanced on the back of a sofa with 2 second timer and fingers crossed (second picture in from left)! I will add a few more for you in a second now that I have remembered how to resize!

There we go, just a few with my G9. These have not been altered in any way yet, I would love to know your favorite! Thanks for looking.

Pete

Re: USA with Canon G9

I quite like the first one. Something hypnotic about the glowing lights. And I see your settings so something for me to try. Need to find a "picture perfect" set of crossroads though in London without being stopped by an over-zealous CSO

How did you get the b+w setting in? For the life of me I cannot find it in the settings but I have only just got it back after a 6 week loan-out

Its listed under 'My Colours' in the menu along with Vivid and Sepia etc. It's a great point and shoot which has wetted my appetite for taking pictures again. Looking forwards to getting another DSLR now

PS How did you view the settings I used? That would be useful to know. TIA Pete.

nice pics - would you recommend the G9 over a 960IS?

I couldn't comment really. Like most I had to trust to reviews and went with the G9 as being a very strong all-rounder. It is not a camera that you can slip in your pocket like a mobile but it offers plenty of manual features and a nice big LCD. I like it and will keep it unless the G10 proves to be ground breaking in quality over the G9; which I doubt. Come on Photokina 2008
