Another attempt at taking insect pictures using my macro lens. Mainly taken in the garden except the butterfly and ant pictures which were taken here. Worth a visit if you are in the South Lakes. It's not a big place but what I liked was the ability to roam amongst quite a few of the animals.


The pics should be clickable to a larger size. A range of cropping has taken place. It should also say 'lizard' in the title!

There's a small green thing in among the stamen which I then photographed.

A slightly closer view. Does anyone know what this 'tongue' is actually called? This is the largest size available.

The butterfly and hover fly are the stand out shots for me in a very nice set.
