Cawthorne Cricket Club

Me and the wife went for a walk around Cawthorne Village in Barnsley today and there was a junior cricket match on. I had my 20d and 70-300 lens on and took a few pics. One thing I found out was 300mm is not long enough for this type of photography.

Anyway here are a few pis.

Missed it.

Great shot!!

Celebrating a wicket.

Are you going to be out this time??

What's the score?

Tyke that!

Spectators

Nice sequence Martin , follows the progression of the game , lets hope they are opening for Yorkshire someday . I used to proudly say to my sons I could have opened for Yorkshire ( only by qualification of Barnsley birth , not playing ability ).

Thanks for taking the time to comment lurcher

A couple of bowlers and one of the batsmen showed real promise and the rain stayed off so it was a nice was to spend a couple of hours. I suppose I could have played for Yorkshire as well, again not through playing ability
