Dear me, that looks like an accident waiting to happen! Nice capture though. Out of interest, with the 5D, how many keepers do you get with shots like this (i.e. fast(ish) moving things)? I'm just wondering how the AF system stacks up against newer counterparts.

To be honest it is the first time I have used the 5D in servo focussing mode as usually I am photographing stationary objects........first real try at panning too So I can't really answer the question with any authority or experience, all I can say is that it seemed to keep up no problem. My main problem was in the framing, the majority of shots I took didn't excite me with their composition......something I definitely need to practice I think!

Great shot, but I would have cloned out the blob in front of the bike. At first I thought it was a ball and that this was some weird form of polo and as about to alert Tobers
