Anglias at the Ace

British cars of the 1950’s and early 1960’s continued to reflect the shortages and austerity of Post War Britain and were nowhere as flamboyant as those in the USA from the same period. However, the Ford Anglia 105E has managed to worm its way into the hearts of many enthusiasts. I was not old enough to have one when they were being made and neither my father nor mother could drive, but I do remember the maroon Anglia owned by our next door neighbour with affection and not just because I earned a shilling cleaning it.

These well kept samples were on display at the Ace Café, North West London yesterday.
