My first go at photography. Using 450D and the Kit lens. Comments/ Suggestions please!

1. Strings of Sea Shells 2

The first has the making of a very attractive photograph. If it was me I might try and have some of the more interesting shells, perhaps the red one, towards the centre.

The second could do with a nice clean background, maybe a sheet of white card behind, and without the something or other hanging down in front. Apologies if I sound a bit critical, but thanks for showing us and keep us up to date with how you get on .

1st one does show promise.

I wouldnt have the red one center, use rule of 3rds on it instead.

Prehaps try a contrasting (say blue) background if you can find one.

Well first time out is pretty good....the first image shows you have lots of potential...nice!
