Going off for a jolly in a few months and want to get myself a digital compact rather than lugging an SLR with me. Looking for something which easily slips into a pocket but it has to have a good (lets say 6x minimum?) optical zoom, decent MP, quick start up time and, ideally, take CF so I can use my 8GB cards from my 350D and save me buying more memory though that one is a long shot I know!

Any suggestions? Dont want to spend a fortune so something cheap which comes close or ticks most of the boxes might well suffice and not bothered if its new or not so if someone has something suitable laying around they want rid of then holler!
