Cranefly shots

This one was rather docile and i was able to hold the leaf in one hand and move it to get a better angle. I was able to rest the lens on the other hand giving a very steady platform. I adjusted the focus by sliding the lens along the hand for the stacks.

Click for larger.

Run Away Theres a small springtail in front, focus stacked from three shots by hand in PS. Only did the head area and kept the rest OOF.

Focus stacked from 10 shots.

Re: Cranefly shots

Hello there

These really need to be seen large, especially the last one. Top stuff again

Apart from the focus stacking, which is still mindbogging to me, Mike did try and explain it to me on Sunday, but the distances we are talking about are tiny.(10 shots)

Got a question, apart from the stacking of course do you have to do much PP to these?

Cheers Holo

Thanks Holo,

Yeah the distances are pretty tiny for the last shot i was within 1.6".

Dont have much PP to do apart from a marathon cloning session of all the dust spots that this lens shows up and i can never seem to get rid of

I sometimes have to use the healing brush to repair duplicated legs and the odd halos you get from shots that arent quite alinged properly but thats about as much as i have to do.
