le mans 2008

hey guys

Had my first go at motorsport photography at Le Mans at the weekend. Bought the lense a tamrom 70-300mm a couple of weeks ago and the canon 400d two months back. Managed to get a few shots in between all the drinking and watching motorsport

I'm a total newbie when it comes to photography! so my skills with the camera and also a zoom lense are pretty limited

Re: le mans 2008

Some good shots there. You captured the car spin/ gravel well! I would look to try a crop out the wall/ tryes from you shots if you can.

I was at Le Mans last year and mangaged to pull of a few good shots. Loved it -it was a cracking weekend. I found people had broken the fence at the 2nd or 3rd corner (just before the 'Dunlop' arch). It was a great spot - took a couple of hundread shots in a few hours !

Re: le mans 2008

Tough first foray into Motorsport and you did well.
Cropping a lot of the clutter will help these images as would using a slower shutter speed to help blur the background and make your cars in the foreground "pop"
Watched this on TV and just said to myself " why cant I get a job like those media photgraphers".... then realised I dont have the skill These guys make it look so easy
