Saw this one from afar and thought .. whats he got there ....

Pentax K10D, Tamron 90mm MF Macro lens ... and a bit of luck.

Re: Robber Fly having lunch

I think me 90mm might come out to play sometime soon as I've been inspired by these, great stuff. Did you do some stacking on these or are they one shot with a small apperture?

Fantastic shots socket

I thought you were going to sell the Tammy 90, changed your mind?

BTW, why do some of these shots' EXIF show 85mm on flickr and others 135mm?

Re: Robber Fly having lunch

No tripod, hand held with onboard flash, which is why the lighting is a bit harsh on some of them.
1 shot pictures, no stacking .. think they were all around F/16.
I was going to get rid of the Tamron in favour of the Vivitar but to be honest the Vivitar is made completely of metal and add that to the weight of the K10D which is a heavy beast to start with then it becomes quite uncomfortable holding it still for even a short amount of time.

The reason for the exif data is that the Pentax has built in shake reduction so when you add a manual focus lens you have to input the focal length. the nearest to 90mm is 85mm on the camera and the 135mm was the 90mm with the 1.4X teleconverter on, which again was as near as I could get on the camera.

Anyway, thanks for the comments
