Virginia Water - with a hint of HDR

Walking around Virginia water today, I auto bracketed a number of shots by +- 1 stop.

Using the excellent HDR merge facility in Corel PhotoPaint X2 which has a very useful auto align facility, even though they were hand held, I was able to merge them without too much artifacts.

However, with the use of the "clarity" setting as well, these might not be to everyone's taste and some will find them over processed I guess.

Either way, I recommend Virginia Water for some great landscape photo op's.

All taken with Canon 450D and 18-55mm IS kit lens.

Re: Virginia Water - with a hint of HDR

Great work, all round .
The HDR is not "in your face" and any stitching is invisible
Although I like all 4 #1 seems to standout

Re: Virginia Water - with a hint of HDR

Thanks for the replies

I am fairly pleased with the IQ of the kit lens in these shots, and the reasonable sharpness of both the foreground and background in shots 1,2, 4at F11. I generally focused somewhere in the middle.

Though if you look at the full size pics the background is a bit soft.
But I don't have anything to compare it too. How much sharper would a more expensive lens be?
