Angry Anbody use Fotolia?

I thought I would give Fotolia a try to see if I could get a few bob for some of my shots - I am not looking to make my fortune but all donations are gratefully recieved

However I have not been able to uplaod any files via ftp as I cannot get a connection. I have contacted Fotolia's "technical support" and they are as about as unhelpful as you can get

In three e-mails I have described in full detail of the error I get when using FileZilla (I have tried other ftp software and got similar) and included the following error message:

Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Response: 220 ProFTPD 1.3.0 Server (Debian) [192.168.1.152]
Command: USER 2006xxxxx
Response: 331 Password required for 2006xxxxx.
Command: PASS ********
Response: 530 Login incorrect.
Error: Could not connect to server

Of course in the message to them I did not disguise the user id. The only response I have had is "what is the logon you are using?"

Their contact system does not allow replies so each message is a new one.

I am sure the problem is something blindingly obvious...

Please help

Re: Anbody use Fotolia?

Unfortunately their technical support IS asking the right question.

Either your username or password is being entered incorrectly as proved by the 530 Login Incorrect error message.

If you were trying to access the wrong folder you would get a different error message and if you were entering the wrong FTP address you'd get another error message. Looking at your log you are connecting to the correct server and the correct folder but the server isn't recognizing your username and password and so is booting you.

I know they were asking the right question, and I gave them the right answer 3 times! Thankfully I sent the same question and details for the fourth time and I got a usefull answer and I now can log in - it was a problem with the userid.
