Swans & Cygnets(sp)

Finished work early today so took the dog out to a local country house where there's a lake with a resident pair of swans. They were 'on the eggs' just over week ago but now they've hatched so I remembered to take my camera.
Yesterday there were 7 cygnets but only 6 today so I asked the groundsmen if they knew anything. They said there were 8 originally, but they think that some pike have been snatching the young.
I took 37 pics in total but I've selected these for some C&C. No PP as yet till I see what suggestions arise.

Re: Swans & Cygnets(sp)

The profile portrait is a bit underexposed because of the light reflecting off the water. Try lightening it but unsure how the BG will respond.
The family shot is a good composition with mum and dad off to the right. The shot of the cygnets walking is great. Nice use of DOF and a frame full of the cute little fellas, can't go wrong.

As for linking, have a look here.

Re: Swans & Cygnets(sp)

A nice set of pics, pity about the light on the first one, but number 4 is very good IMHO.
