Landscapy stuff from today (And plugin stuff)

After yesterdays Smokefest I decided to get out of the house today and get some fresh air.

Off to Allen Banks (Just west of Haydon Bridge Northumberland) with My D80, Sigma 10-20, CPL and Cokin Grads I had to stack 2 grads as it's dark down by the river and the sky was well bright with backlit clouds.

After taking these i realized I had left my camera in Vivid+ mode, they were Raw so I could have just changed the camera settings in NX. But I left them that way as I kinda like the saturation.

I recently also Purchased Nik ColorFX for CS3 but haven't played too much yet. Here's two of the above with Indian colour selectively applied to give a more Autumn feel.

Cheers for Looking.

Lovely shots. #2 just clinches it for me. Everything is in sharp focus. How do you manage to get such a large DOF?

F16, ultra Wide angle lens and (This was the first time I tried) using Hyperfocal focusing.

I agree and I like the effect you've got from these pics. Kind of like a hdr but not over done

No 2 is also my favourite. The vivid colours suits the images. I'm not so keen on the Indian colour scheme.
