Import camera have Uk warranty ?

Ive just purchased a Panasonic FZ18 from Buyacamera.co.uk which i've recieved today only problem is that after i opened the box ive noticed a Uk convertor plug and manual has no mention Uk just Usa so its obviously a Usa import which i spotted no mention of when i ordered it

I noticed in the guarantee repairs section on there site it does state "All products sold by Buyacamera.co.uk are supplied through the official UK distributors and as such are covered by their twelve month guarantee" and i've also paid for the extra year warranty so i should have 2 year cover am i worrying over nothing tbh

or should i get onto them and return it ?

I emailed Buyacamera just before i posted here and got following reply via email "All our stock is sourced and destined for the UK market. Some contents, such as the charger and the literature may refer to the US market but I can assure you that the camera has a full UK guarantee." so it appears it is Uk after even though manual and even plug gave me impression usa model previously.

If it stipulates that you have the official 12 month warranty then I wouldn't be concerned.

I don't think you should have any problem with buyacamera - they aren't some dodgy internet-only grey importer - but are actually part of a reputable brick and mortar photographic retailer

Yea i was just bit unsure when id opened it and noticed it werent a Uk camera i've bought import items in the past mainly game consoles, dvds or games but with me now buying from a Uk shop and it not being the likes of ebay i was bit wary when it wasn't a Uk camera thats all as id expected a Uk item unless it said otherwise

Suppose i'll just keep it as i do have 2 year warranty so i should be ok
