Has anybody else experieced this problem? When I try and turn it on, it informs me to "Retry Power On", and when I do, I´m informed that there is a "Lens Error"'- rather than extending, you hear a click as if it wants to open, but no more than that.

Is this easily fixed as is it as good as dead? This couldn´t have happened at a worse time, am in Bolivia and I´m heading to the Amazon before there`s any chance of getting the bleeding thing fixed!
