I got my first DSLR (Canon 350D) only about 2 years ago. Whilst I do fiddle about on other forums, this one is the one that keeps triggering inspiration, gets me to try new things, experimentation etc, and the general friendliness helps considerably. I'd have never dreamt that I'd have my pics in magazines, win competitions, be on Getty, be selling microstock, and so on.
I've been lucky enough to be able to feed my gadget habit, but I've also found that I've learnt so much from you lot, from many techniques to take pictures through to post processing, printing and online galleries. I've also seen other people developing and building their skill and that is a joy to see.
Still lots to learn, but I love it.
