Coalbrookdale.

Here's a little taster of Coalbrookdale to wet your appetite for Steve's weekend extravaganza.

Very little adjustment, most straight out of the camera.

Entrance to the Museum of Iron

Historic furnace ruins and railway viaduct.

Detail of old steam engine, there's lots of this stuff lying about.

Viaduct crossing the Middle Pool. ( straight into the sun )

Village green, pool and viaduct. The Quaker burial ground is at the top of the picture.

The stream feeding the pool, about 10 minutes walk up the woods.

In the woods behind the Church, a nice bench to rest those weary legs.

Superbly made by the local Woodland Trust.

Detail of bench.

Cast iron gate to church, there's a lot of cast iron around here!

Coalbrookdale church.

Re: Coalbrookdale.

Weather depending I may well be having a wander down there tomorrow to have a play with the new camera. That stream has gone down well, we walked down there when the floods were on and it was just horrible, it's still fairly muddy and barren now I see you managed to make it up the hill to the top

Re: Coalbrookdale.

I'm on the sick at the moment with cluster headaches, and sometimes it's possible to walk off the pain. So Today I went out and enjoyed the sunshine for a couple of hours.
