Early Lamb Sandwich

Spotted when out walking;

New born lamb taking first steps out in a field. The farmer has put a bread wrapper around the lamb to prevent it getting hypothermia.

C&C welcome

Re: Early Lamb Sandwich

I have to admit that everytime I look at the shot I think of lamb and bread at the same time; ergo lamb sandwich

First time I have seen a lamb with a coat on.........how bloody stupid!! It's worse than those owners who buy coats for their dogs!

Strangely enough when I first saw this I wondered what was going on. Then I found out that the farmer puts these on to help prevent the newborn lambs from getting hypothermia. Which is one of the major causes of lamb mortality.

Re: Early Lamb Sandwich

It's not that stupid.... it's cheaper to use a bread bag than it is to feed a Ewe for a whole year only to lose her Lamb to pneumonia.
