Using the Eye-One Display 2 with Photoshop

I just bought an Eye-One Display 2 (lovely piece of kit!) and am having lots of great results with comparing my photos to the ones that Photobox printed out for me last week.
My question is this:

I have selected the profile that the eye-one saved as my RGB working space in the Colour Settings dialogue.
Do I also select that same profile in the RGB colour management policies to Convert To Working RGB???
I do have it set up like this already and it seems to work a treat converting my images but I am wondering if it is the right thing to do seeing as the profile doesnt kick in until the image is opend - camera RAW does not seem to apply this profile.

I hope that makes sense.....

I have the same calibrator as you, to be absolutely honest with you I've never totally got my head around all this colour management. The only thing I have found from personal experience of printing is to work from the colour profile supplied with the file e.g. "srgb ...." or "Adobe RGB 1998" and turn off the printer colour management when I print.

Re: Using the Eye-One Display 2 with Photoshop

Yes it is all rather confusing!!!
Using the profile that the Eye-One creates gives me a near perfect match on screen to the prints that I got from Photobox last week so I am very happy. Before the Eye-One came along I was horrified at how different the prints looked to what I was seeing on-screen.
I suppose as long as it works then I should just be happy on get on with my life.... ah if only it was that simple!!!

I have the Canon i965 and Im not getting very satisfactory results with it though to be honest. I have printed out loads of the same photograph using shed loads of different settings and none come close to the photobox prints.... well there was one that wasnt too far off I suppose..... I may just have to come to accept that my printer just isnt that accurate.

Can anyone maybe recommend a good book or something that explains all this colour management stuff???
