what cable release for canon 40D?

I bought an RS60-e3 from Jessops but just found that it doesn't fit. The connector expected is some strange three-pronged thing.

so what do I need to fit a 40D? I'm confused as the Jessops guy said it'd be ok, but then I suppose I should know better than taking their advice at face value by now.

I have two for the 40D. Both purchased on e-bay for less than £7.00 each delivered. One of them is wireless and works flawlessly from a good 40 foot. Took 3 days to arrive from Hong Kong too

try this - this is what I have -

http://www.calumetphoto.co.uk/item/CF0036/

came next day delivery.

but don't do what I did and lose it the day after you bought it ! I had to buy a second one.....

When you get it you'll think it's quite odd, but in use it's VERY usable.

I intend to splice mine with a 2.5mm jack, so I can use a 10m extension cable I made years ago another camera.

Mark.

Cheers for the links, my RS-80N3 went for a swim in the sea on saturday so I was going to get another cable as a backup in case it starts playing up
