Sony Alpha 100 or 200

I own a Sony Alpha 100 and was wondering if there was any great advantage of moving to the 200,. I played with a 200 at jessops yesterday and it seemed ok, but curious if its worth changing cameras.

Im slightly worried that my alpha 100 originally cost £800 and the 200 is only £449, so has build quality been compromised?

Without Live View, faster shooting or a higher resolution sensor, there’s no real reason for owners of the existing A100 to upgrade, but that doesn’t necessarily make the A200 a disappointment. As we discovered at the 2008 PMA show, the A200 represents the base model in a new DSLR strategy for Sony, where like its compact range, subsequent models simply take the existing body and add various ‘up-selling’ features.
See this nothing to worry about.

£800.00 for an A100 . . . crikey! They retail for circa £350.00. In fact, depending where you source, the price between the A100 and A200 is only £40.00 difference!

Wouldn't change my A100 for anything less than the A700. Simply not enough of an upgrade in the A200/A350 to warrant the extra money.

Keep your A100.

A700 is a great piece of kit, but is steep in price, cheapest seems to be around £900 for the body only.

Maybe an A500 model will arrive. If there was an 'upgrade' to consider, then the A300 might be it. Only thing is . . it's not available in the the UK. Only the A350.
