need some advice on a broken camera plz

Hi guys just wanted to know my little girl got a camera and printer package for christmas from argos we did,nt get any additional insurance and i dont have home insurance the only thing it has is the 1 yr manufacturer guarantee , the thing is she came in 20 mins ago her camera slid off her desk and cracked the screen anybody know if theres anything i can do ,any info much appreciated thanks

Manufacturing guarantee wont cover accidental damage.

And you dont have home insurance (which would have had an excess anyhow) so I think your stuffed

Problem is with compact cameras is that there are so few places to take them when they break or get damaged. There are lots of places that fix DSLRs etc but thats because most DSLRs work in a similar way.

Sorry to hear about the damage, I'd maybe give the manufacturer a ring and ask how much it would cost to fix/replace damaged parts. Likelyhood is that you might be better off buying a new one if you can afford it - a lot of people on here own compacts and will hopefully be able to recommend a good new one, hopefully that works with the printer.
