Little compact and Lightroom

Here's a few recent shots taken on my little Panasonic FX07, processed in Adobe Lightroom. The weather has been rather wet but I managed to get out to take some photos around town and at Maldon.

The new County Court in Chelmsford:

#4 is my favourite out of these.
#6 I like too. The treatment is nice as is the composition.

Re: Little compact and Lightroom

Thanks Paranormalist. One thing I've found is that Lightroom is good for tarting up shots taken with little compacts - with many shots its fairly easy to make them look less compact-like and I used it to mess about with these shots quite a bit. It even allowed me to make the dull, grey skies a bit more interesting without resorting to software grads.

Re: Little compact and Lightroom

Yes, I like #4 as well. The first lot are "fairly standard" building pics (probably a bit harsh but you know what I mean), but #4 just stands out as being well seen, nice reflections, conveys a mood as well. Super set.

I could try a heavy HDR and Orton effect on them if you'd prefer?

Ah well, can't please everyone.
