Framed Pic

I read about a photographer from India who went around his country framing his pics through his car window.
Shot this today of a derelict farmhouse and framed it at the top & bottom through a gate.
Does it work? What would you have done differently? Have I overcooked the HDR treatment which I applied using 1 RAW file?

Cheers

Re: Framed Pic

The frame works. I'm not a fan of HDR anyway but as you have only used one RAW parts of the sky are burnt out.

I would also suggest a slightly larger aperture so that the fence is sharp as it got a very nice texture.

Quite a nice photo though Shame we couldn't see it a bit bigger.

I thought you liked HDR...
I'll bring my tripod next time so I can Auto Bracket my shots and set a larger aperture.
The larger version is well over the forum limits. Oh well.
Thanks for the tips.

Not in the way that people normally associate with HDR.

I like images that look real not one's that make people go "that's been photoshopped" I use High Dynamic Range to increase the dynamic range of the picture because more often than not I'm not able to capture detail in all the tones so I have to bracket and combine. I combine using hand created layer masks though and constantly try to make them look real. I try to mimick the 16 or so stops of light the human brain can 'see' as opposed to the 6 or so that a DSLR can
