Couple from the Quayside

After having the time of my life at the baltic I took a few shots on the Quayside.

Hers a couple






And one I didnt crop square but its still 2 squares

#2 is my pick as well because of the complementary curves you've captured.

Couple of other comments:

#1 - a bit less foreground would help. It gives a big area of blank space that takes up a lot of the pic whereas the attention should be on the detail fo the glazing & the bridge behind.

#3 - nice flag but if feels a bit squashed down. A bit more pole and a bit less sky would balance.

I like the 4th one - gives a good sense of where everything is.

Nice shots, I took a few when I was down there yesterday. Didn't come back with anything special, but I'll have a look tonight when I get home from work and see if I've anything worth posting.

Looks like you managed to avoid the problem I encountered, which was that everytime I tried to compose a shot, a massive gust of wind did it's best to unsteady me.
