Thanks: Gave 63, Got 49 | Is this too much?
Entered this pic into a competition when I first joined a camera club and the judge recommended that I crop it a tad, to give the bridge more length and take out some of the dead space.
Was bored this eve so thought I would give it a bash, you think its better or too much PP now?

That's a vast improvement, in my opinion, and even if the colours of the original are the true colours, the modified version looks more natural.

Nice! I love the frame, and the PP isn't too much at all - that more purple hue really works for me.

This sort of shot can be cropped succesfully in any number of ways. I don't think you've gone too far at all. I personally rather like the light on the water between the rocks, so would probably crop like this, with a bit of rotation so that the bridge uprights are vertical.
The panoramic style of crop does makes the picture look more dynamic though, having more height gives a more tranquil air to the picture.

Thanks guys for the comments,
Julian I only wish i could re-enter it. Got 15 in the beginners class first time out, I may have got 16 with this one lol
ryart, never thought of cropping it like that, it shows more of an arch in the bridge also with the posts more vertical. Thanks for that
Was a bit dubious about changing it as I prefer the "straight from the camera" approach. Had I taken it in RAW I could have possibly have done more but seeing as I had a few months experience I didnt know much about RAW.

Nicely done turning the picture into more of a panaromic and I prefer the new colours I thought you might have altered the white balance in RAW to acheive that until you mentioned otherwise. I feel you've done a nice job on the crop I would be interested to see what it looks like if you only croppred the bottom rock.

Thinking of getting this printed now after all the positive feedback, brings up an interesting thought where do you guys get your prints done?
Been using Asad believe it or not as I like the prints it makes but they would be unable to make a panoramic shot like this.
