Trying out portraits for the first time.

What do you think? I'm not sure I got the cropping right, should I have gone the B&W route? Any comments?
I have uploaded the original image.

Thanks!

Re: Trying out portraits for the first time.

I think your processed shot is deffinately better.

Good shot aswell. Extremely engaging eyes.

Re: Trying out portraits for the first time.

Why did you chose to convert to B/W when she has such beautiful blue eyes?

Also, I think the crop is a little tight - perhaps somewhere in between?

Both are nice though.

Re: Trying out portraits for the first time.

I really like the colour, nice skin tones and nice eyes, I wouldn't mind seeing the crop in colour...

Regards,

Great shot, I do prefer the black and white version. The eye contact really makes this photo and the crop really does emphasise the size of his/her eyes. Im not sure I would have cut off the side of his face though.
