A door a rose & a tyre

Three today from out and about. I stumbled upon the first & second subjects while visiting a graveyard. I spotted the third when I was driving by a derelict building.

#1 Secret Door

Daniel Diaz B&W Conversion/Action in Photoshop with a subtle tint.

#2 Lost Rose

B&W conversion in Camera RAW and slight tint added in Photoshop.

#3 Spare Tyre

Cropped and a Retro Action applied in Photoshop.

C&C would be cool - good or bad.

Thanks, iceman. I'm going through a B&W faze - hopefully I won't grow out of it.

Re: A door a rose & a tyre

Do u know about black and white conversions using the channel mixer? i helps keep the tonal range instead of losing it when you convert to black and white.

I just got Photoshop CS3 at Christmas. I was using Elemnts 5 before that. The channel mixer isn't really something that I've used a lot or know an awful lot about. I tend to use B&W adjustment layers in CS3 or an Action.
You've got me interested in the channel mixer now so I shall delve further.
Thanks.

Re: A door a rose & a tyre

#1 and #3 for me out of the first 3, esp the coloring in 3

the black triangle in #2 seems a little overpowering to me.

I'm going to have to get out further than my local fields I think.

Cheers,

alun

Things I would never have took notice of before I started photography now call out to me. There are a lot of photographic opportunities. I would be lost without pp though.

The black triangle is part of a grave and I couldn't decide whether it was ok or not.
