tales from the river bank

Was at work today , but luckily was down by the river and the light was pretty good.

Anyways, this view was nearly spoilt as developers wanted to build a high rise block of flats on the space in the foreground. However the application has been rejected.

however this is the city beginning its day.

Further down the river the Swan Hunters shipyard is being stripped of its assets, which are being shipped off to India, and this is one of the cranes dismantling the site. No reference for size - but believe me its huge.

and finally, just around the corner, sandwiched between two industrial estates is this little quay.

Re: tales from the river bank

Nice pics my horsey friend.

#1 looks a tad soft but you've captured the atmosphere very nicely. Everything is still in the early morning greyness.

#2 is rather nice.

#3 best of the bunch IMHO. Nice light, composition. Lovely little scene.
