Actually, these were taken using a Sigma 55-200mm DC lens during a recent 'walkabout'.

Yup, tis a thing. Does what is says on the tin.

A couple more crops, and that's me done for now.

This is just to give anyone who might be after an affordable walkabout lens some idea what this specific model can do.

The whole duck image came out tack sharp . . as did a whole bunch of others, but I dare not bore you all too much.

Actually I was stood atop the quayside wall looking down on top of the water. The duck/swans/seagulls etc, were about 10ft below me, so was pleased with the outcome in terms of detail from the distance from the subject.

Thanks Tontohorse. The vast majority were keepers, but it's interesting to see the different perpective you can get from an image once cropped.
