My D80 arrived this morning!!! First shots...

My pressie to myself was a new D80 with 18-135 and I just had to go and have a few shots with it this morning.

Light wasn't great but just thought I would post a few pics to show you results 'out of the box'.

Number 1 is my fave... manual focus and as shallow DOF as I could get...

Way to go, just got one myself a couple of weeks ago and it's nice to get that new camera buzz. Have you downloaded Ken Rockwell's guide, quite useful (so I thought).

You're probably the only person in the world with a motive.

What did you have before your D80? I want to upgrade my D70, but since I've not got any special photographic events coming up, I shall try and wait as long as possible, then see what I can get.

I had a Coolpix 8800 - great camera ( and going cheap if you know anyone who is interested!) but I wanted to get more... creative hence the D80 - which really is lovely - moreso that I paid £546 for it instead of £679 - all thanks to Dixonsonline - lovely people!!
