I use Canons MP-E 65mm macro lens and a 30D. Lighting is by my 430EX speedlite diffused with kitchen towel. All shots are taken handheld.

Either way most images on here have PP applied so I'm not making the point to detract from the pics... on the opposite it's something that would take a lot of work! |
Thanks Belfastblitz for the comments. None of the Dew drops or the refractions of the flower are photoshopped in any way. The dew drops on the grass are naturally occuring.
What i do when taking these is place a flower about an inch behind the grass so that it is refracted in the dew drops. I then take several shots (sometimes as many as 11 or 12) starting where things first come into focus within the dew drop, then continue taking shots untill everything i want in focus has been covered.
The images are then loaded into a program called Combinezm, which is a focus stacking program. This combines all the shots and you end up with the images you see here.
The only work in CS3 is some cloning of dust spots etc and some curve adjustement occasionaly.
