how do i upload some photos on to a memory card, i have a canon ixus and using the normal windows picture manager, ? thanks

Depends if you have a card reader. If not then plug the camera in using the USB cable, go into 'My Computer' and see of you have a 'Removable Disk' listed in there. If you do then open this and drag the files in there. You should then be able to view them on the camera.

TBH it is perhaps almost invariably the most pragmatic thing to get the above suggested USB memory card reader ASAP

Data transfer ( in either direction) will more than likely be much faster than using the camera ( and relying on its battery power), is not software dependent and doesnt need any drivers

and you can read from or write to a card with it

Hi thanks...I had a card reader slot in my pc front panel so i moved the photos to removable disc H and the photos copied onto my card.
I put the card into my photo frame and the pics were all there and set it as a slide show and all was great. I then put my card back into my camera and it says no image on the camera as if the card is blank ? the photos are all jpegs ?

Im not sure what has happened but it is always best to actually copy and paste in these instances.
The "move to " may loosely mean "cut and paste" in which case you end up having the card empty

As an aside too, it is best to always format your card with the camera

I recall once having a "rouge " card reader too. Once I used it, the camera would then not see anything on it again unless I formatted it.. fortunately I had 2 card readers and the second on confirmed that the images were still there.needless to say I binned the offending card reader..This was with Smart media cards though ( I think they've gone the way of the Dodo )
