I’m just going to try the link that Flickr says you should use to link back to there site!

Dont use it

If you Have embedded an image here and you want to link it back to flickr
first
open the flick page to want to link to.. the copy its URL address ( httl ://..)
then open your post and select in full the line that relates to your image

[IMG] adcdxyz[IMG],
click on the icon that has the little world and link,
this will open a line where you can then past the url from flickr
click OK
This should then turn your image into a clickable link back to flickr
In fact this method can turn any thing into a link not just an image

How can you tell what’s under the x, I thought that if you right click and select properties you could see what underneath it.

If you want to do this from scratch:

Copy the link to your flickr photo page

When you post a thread click the world with links icon in the tool bar and paste your link in here.

When it appears, the text within the link (a copy of the link itself) will be highlighted.

Go back to flickr, click in 'all sizes', select your size and then copy the url from the bottom window.

Back in your thread, click straight on the Mountain image and paste in your link.

You should be left with your link, and then within that the link to the image wrapped in [IMG] tags

note - in the above i've added the [IMG] tags in the correct places, but used {}'s to stop it working

Also, you need to link to the photo page, the one where the comments appear, rather than the link supplied in the 'all sizes' page

I had linked to a larger image but for increasing the no of views, It is the page with comments that is the right one, The priciple is the same though

Now all I’ve got to do is figure out what I was doing wrong!

Only thing is, its not linking back to the particular photo, just to the site.

Simply change the first URL to http://www.flickr.com/photos/10622924@N06/1505030826/ and that will link back to the photo page. It's actually in Flickrs T&C's to do it that way

Well done , to link to the right page you need the url address on top of the page( address bar) of where the photo is displayed with for comment
