Question Recommend a website to learn Fuji S9600 settings

Can anyone recommend a website that will explain how i can use my camera, a Fuji S9600, in the "Manual" mode.

I use it on Auto at the moment but would like to understand how to use the priority modes - Manual, Shutter, Aperature etc.

Have experimented over the weekend but cannot get to grips with it.

I take it you mean learning about how aperture makes a difference, when to use different shutter speeds etc.

I'd recommend this site:

http://www.usa.canon.com/content/reb...lxtlessons.htm

It's aimed at the Canon Rebel XT but if you read through the tutorials on the left hand side they apply to any DSLR or Bridge style camera, should be very helpful - it was for me.

As Geoff said in the previous post, the manual is probably the only thing you need to show you how to physically use it on manual, ie change shutter speeds, aperture and iso.

But in order to apply these in the correct configuration to suit a particular photographic situation you would be best to buy a book on the subject in general and as using a camera in manual settings is common to all cameras.

One book that seems to be well thought of on here is `Understanding Exposure` by Bryan Peterson, which can be bought for not a lot money.

Re: Recommend a website to learn Fuji S9600 settings

Cheers guys.

The manual doesnt give an idiots guide, just how to sellect and alter settings.

What i need to learn is why and when to use the settings.

Mainly use camera for portraits, landscape, motorsport
