I tried the Orton effect on a HDR of this shot,does it work?

Firstly it's too small to really make anything out. Also the picture kinda lack any subject matter. My eye just wanders around aimlessly.

I think you need to get the shot right before applying the effect.

It's not like its a bad shot it just lacks anything of interest.

I agree with allymac. It is empty. Although the effect itself is nice.
