Lightbulb Your favorite 3 from this summer

There's been too much talk of dull weather and dreary skies lately, so let's cheer things up by having a look at the three photos that you were really pleased with from this summer.

I'll start us off then...

1. The South Downs, July 7th:

2. A Wasp in flight, August 17th:

3. Balloons in alignment, August 26th:

Come on then... your turn now.

I was merely trying to illustrate the extremes of our wonderful British weather. I'll resize the last two so as not to appear a greedy guts

As you were...........

Re: Your favorite 3 from this summer

Interesting topic and tricky to pick three (although a lot of the shots I took weren't 'summery' really since it rained a lot!). I guess these are the best cheery sunny ones I've taken over the summer:

King's lock (aka Little Baddow lock), River Chelmer near Little Baddow

16th century Bridge Cottage at Flatford in Suffolk

Farmland west of Withypool in Exmoor, Devon.

hmm... two have bridges and ducks. Maybe I'm becoming predictable!

Re: Your favorite 3 from this summer

Did not get out much with the camera this summer for various reasons, but these 3 remind of sunshine and happiness, not bothered if they are not technically correct i just like them.

1) who else but grandaughter Ruby having fun in her garden on a sunny afternoon.

2) & 3) Both taken in the lofoten islands in early June , although it is in the arctic circle it was a lovely sunny week, better in fact than the weather was here at the same time.

Re: Your favorite 3 from this summer

Some great images here. very difficult to choose just 3

We had a pretty good summer here on the west coast. Plenty of rain, but I also remember plenty of hot sunny days.

Starting in early April, we had a mini heatwave. Spent lots of time on Ynsyslas beach.

Also spent plenty of time hanging around beachs at dusk. I've almost got this kind of shot out of my system - but Vulkan keeps rubbing my nose in it.

Most of all, I enjoyed the summer because of the 3 weeks I took off while my son was on school holidays. We had lots of fun, went on countless adventures and made lots of photographs, any of which I could choose to be my favourate. This was on the last day of our holiday.

Re: Your favorite 3 from this summer

@dudeonline, those shots are great. The colour and tone of light in the first two is just brilliant.

Well I've tried to find photos that I took in the UK this summer (I thought I'd skip the holiday ones as I've either already posted them or plan to post them soon). It was hard though, the weather was so bad and I didn't take many photos!

I See (down on Brighton beach in August)

String Theory (in August in a friend's garden near Aylesbury)

Arsenal 3 Sevilla 0 (in September out our bedroom window after a great game of football)

Re: Your favorite 3 from this summer

Some great shot's here folks

I had a real trouble picking 3 as there's loads from the summer that I liked. Ended up going for these 3 though.

#1 - This, although probably not my favourite of the night, was one of the first I took on this glorious and very succesful evening shoot from Arthur's Seat. My thread with all the images can be found here

#2 - Again, a very succesful morning's photography. This doesn't seem to be the public's favourite of the morning (that title going to the shot of just the rail bridge) but it is mine for some reason! Thread here

#3 - And last but not least would have to be this one a weir close to my home. Somewhere I'd been meaing to 'graph for a while but when I got round to was so glad I did. I got a real suprise by the lighting conditions which changed while I was there and allowed me to take this.
