Urgent help for PS dummy!

Help!!

I'm trying to what I imagine is a very simple operation, but I don't know squat about photoshop!

I'm trying to cut my Dads head from one photo and paste it over another. (I'm trying to make him as a train driver.

How in Gods name do I do it?

Lasso tool to draw around the head to transfer then in the select menu, feather the selection by about 3 pixels. Then in the edit menu copy. Open the picture you want to stick it onto and again in the edit menu paste. All thats left to do is position it in place with the move tool................. Easy!

Good luck.

That is a fairly drastic way of making a career change for him!

Seriously ,Try the above suggestion bearing in mind that Photoshop or Elements works in layers and even after the cut/ past operation has been accomplished you can resize the head bit , and adjust its contrast, brightness independently on its own layer to match the train drivers torso before finally merging them
otherwise it will be so obvious that it was a cut/ paste "surgical" operation
Failing that, Im sure you can find someone here willing to do it ...I would if it can wait till tomorrow
