Just thought I'd post another glowing reference for One Stop Digital. I ordered a Sigma 70-300 APO DG from them on Sunday. I decided to pay by bank transfer to save £2.20 so they didn't dispatch the lens until Tuesday. It arrived yesterday which considering it came from Hong Kong is amazing. So well done One Stop!

I also liked the fact that they sent me a FedEx tracking number so I could tell where the lens was. I was a bit worried as FEdEx were due to deliver the lens yesterday to my home address while I was at work. I didn't want the hassle of having to go to the FedEx depot to get my package. But I checked on the FedEx website at 11.45AM and saw that it had been signed for my by next door neighbour. So well done to FedEx too.

Only had a brief play with the lens last night but it seems really well made and easy to use. Will have a proper play over the weekend.

I'll second One Stop Digital aswell brand new shiney Nikkor 18-200VR, super quick, I did hold my breath a bit paying with bank transfer, but no worries. Within a couple of days had it dropped off by Fedex.

I bought it for two reasons - to give me more reach and to try out it's "macro" mode. My only lenses were the 50mm 1.8 and USM kit lens so 55mm was my longest reach. With a 7 year old son who doesn't like to pose for me any more it will be easier to take his photo when we are out and about. I also want to take more candids of people when I'm out and about.

I realise that it isn't a true macro lens but I remember seeing Geoff's great flower shots a while back on here taken with this lens so I want to try to get some as good as his.

Rather than start another thread, it seems that there are some further price reductions at OSD.
Not looked extensively at the site but I have these 2 lenses on my wish-list:
Sigma 10-20mm down to £250 from £264.
Nikon 105VR micro down to £405 from about £453 (I think).
Quite good as they were already about the cheapest & seem very reliable & fast so far.

You can thank me for the 105mm VR Micro price! I asked for a pricematch on the lens for one being sold on ebay by UR Galaxy for about £408. They did, and reduced the price on the site (for everyone), which I think is a really nice business practice (as opposed to giving me the price and shafting everyone else!)

I bought, and the lens was delivered to me last Monday (ordered Thursday). I have to say, it's a cracker - really really sharp and fantastic for candid portraits.
