Decided on a 400D

Hi everyone,
I've finally decided on the Canon above a D40X mainly on grounds of price (now that Canon are offering some cashback again!) and that it has DOF preview. However before I charge out and buy it, does anyone know if it suffers from the same problem as the Nikon, namely no autofocus with other lens makes eg Sigma?

Thanks in advance,

Stu.

The 400D has a built in focus motor so you are good to go.

Re: Decided on a 400D

Buy a D50 or D80 - no autofocus problems there, its just the D40 where Nikon decided to be silly and do that.

In my opinion the 400D is too small and fidly, have played with several since I got my D50 and still convinced I made the right choice.
