That's why I like Flickr too. You get constructive comments and ideas, which you can take on board and try to improve the picture. I've had a few pictures on mine where cloning off some distractive elements have helped. It's a great resource for inspiration too. Here's to another year on flickr pixelpixel.

Thanks for the comments. You also have images that you will like and then when you put them on flick they do nothing. Still trying to work that one out.

I just notice that a 350D is going on the cheap on the forum, shame I am on holiday this weekend as I would have went for it. As that is what I want, a compact is fine, a bridge is even better. But to get the images that are in my head I need a dslr. That is not taking anything away from any other camera that I have had, Its just I am pushing myself and a dslr will allow me that freedom.

One point that I have found is that 'most' compacts and bridge cameras are limited regarding f stops from 2.8 - 8 That is what I have found out using Sony models.
